THINK UP
THINK UP is a creative foundation programme developed by LV21 in partnership with Royal Opera House Bridge and Ebbsfleet Development Corporation to support arts and cultural engagement through nursery, primary, secondary and specialist schools in north Kent.
The programme connects children and young people, schools and communities with tailored arts experiences and opportunities for collaboration with artists across artforms. Alignment with local events and festivals encourages participants to share their learning and showcase their creativity to wider audiences.
The programme aims to support local Teaching School Alliances to extend their networks and cultural learning programmes, and can guide schools through their Artsmark and Arts Award journeys.
Since the start of the initial research and development phase of the programme in autumn 2019, we have worked with nearly 20 schools and 600 children and young people across Gravesham, Northfleet, Ebbsfleet and Swanscombe. Our longer-term intention is to build foundations for a potential local Cultural Education Partnership in the area.

THINK UP – Creative Resources
While we are not able to run our programme in public due to Covic-19 restrictions, we have teamed up with local artists to bring you some creative resources online. Please use the links below to find out more about these fun activities suitable for the whole family.

If you would like to share your artwork with us, please post it on social media and tag @Lightvessel21 #ThinkUpKent or email your pictures to us. We will contact you for permission before sharing your photos in public.
Once the lockdown is over, we plan to hold a celebration event so that you get to meet the artists in person and share your artwork with them too.
