THE CITIZENSHIP

The first phase of #citizenSHIP was a 3-month creative research and development programme supported by Arts Council England in 2019, getting the local community involved to help artists create new artworks and cultural interventions themed around identity, nationality, belonging and the free movement of people, goods and ideas.

The ongoing project helps LV21 become part laboratory for testing new ideas, part safe meeting place, bringing together local communities and individuals from different backgrounds to instigate positive exploration of citizenship and the role arts and culture play in supporting community cohesion.
