About WOW Girls Festival

Evidence shows that girls are consistently facing additional barriers as a result of their gender. The WOW Girls Festival is designed and delivered through this gender equity lens, but is for everyone to participate in and contribute to.

The WOW Girls Festival is one of The WOW Foundation's annual events. WOW is a global movement; a fast-growing network of partnerships reaching 63.5M people each year, across 45 places and six continents, through live/digital events, festivals, campaigns and media. Their work focuses on gender equity, and through their unique programmes they galvanise action, convene and educate as we join the dots between people, movements and ideas to change the world.

Visit The WOW Bus on 12th October

Groups of young people and their teachers will visit the WOW Bus and LV21 for a day of inspirational workshops. With a focus on girls, but including all young people, activities on the Bus are designed to build resilience, wellbeing and good mental health.

The WOW Bus will be touring the UK from October to March, reaching young people from all backgrounds in the heart of their own communities. Find out more.

WOW Activity Packs in your classroom

WOW Activity Packs have been co-designed with and for young people and are free to download for education providers and community leaders. Focusing on the following themes

• Healthy Relationships (KS2 & 3 / ages 7-14)
• Personal Safety (KS3 & 4 / ages 11-16)
• Financial Independence (KS3 & 4 / ages 11-16)
• Community and Resilience (KS2, 3 & 4 - ages 7-16)

These packs use creative activities and thought-provoking discussion to bring the themes to life. They are fully digital, with a full set of ready-to-use resources that include inspirational voices through video, easy to replicate creative ideas, fun ways to learn and myth bust, as well as lesson plans and extension activities.

WOW are running a free and online CPD session coming up on Monday 9th October 16:00-17:15 about the WOW Activity packs.
